Ongoing Tarot Card Meanings Series: The Rider Waite Smith Tarot Cards In Context

In this practical series of 80+ articles, I look at the Rider Waite Smith tarot card meanings in both their original and modern interpretation, not just as generic keywords and abstract esoteric concepts but as applied to various life areas, common spread positions and paired combinations. The purpose of this series is to help apprentice and intermediate tarot learners apply the RWS-based card keywords to a variety of common situations in tarot divination and life. To take the Fool card as an example, I will be answering questions like “what does the Fool mean in combination with the Tower?” “What does the Fool mean in a love reading?” and “what does the Fool reversed mean in an obstacles spread position?”

Ongoing Series On Foundational Tarot Skills For Aspiring Tarot Masters

This series is not just designed to answer common beginner questions but to equip the student with the foundational tarot skills needed for genuine mastery of the art. It is to this second, higher end that the series structure, exercises and philosophical underpinnings are carefully constructed.

Once complete, the series will cover: everything you need to know about your tarot deck (gifting, buying, cleansing, handling, storing and so on), how to memorize tarot card meanings without shortucts, how to prepare for a tarot reading, how to mitigate bias when reading tarot for yourself, how to read tarot cards in combination for deeper insights, how to develop and trust your intuition when reading tarot cards, the importance of tarot reader ethics (even beyond your readings), journalling your tarot readings, common tarot spreads to use and so on. Following this, an introduction to advanced tarot divination techniques will be given such as; how to use esoteric correspondences (Hermetic qabalah, astrology, numerology etc.) in your readings, giving practice readings to the public, professional tarot reading (including pro bono practice) and so on.

Upcoming Series: The Vital Importance Of Tarot Reader Ethics

In this comprehensive series on tarot reader ethics, I explain why, according to the philosophy that I teach from, tarot reading ethics is not just something that readers must learn about to maintain their public reputation and shield themselves from legal liability - it is in fact a key to more accurate, insightful and transformative tarot divination.
